Free ESL Powerpoint and Office Software

If you are having your students work on presentations and they are really keen on using Powerpoint, you can sometimes get into a little hot water.

One of the main issues is a technical one.  If they develop their presentation on a non-English computer and then attempt to display it on an English computer, there can at times be conflicts.  This is also true with different versions of Powerpoint for example the Mac Office Version Vs. Windows 2007 Version have incompatibilities.

One easy solution to this is to use a free web-based Powerpoint alternative.  Not only will it save you cash on the purchase of MS Office or Powerpoint, but it also relieves the stress and worry about compatibility and access issues. As long as you have access to the web, you'll have access to the Presentation.

Zoho.com is one online office suite that I use regularly.  It is simple, free, completely compatible with Microsoft Office and available anywhere at any time.  If you've been looking for a convenient Office alternative, you really should check it out.  One of the really great features is that it allows for online sharing and collaboration so you don't need to email versions back and forth.

Cheers,

Eric
